OSCAR MURILLO

Details

Oscar murillo was born in 1986, colombia. He lives and works in London UK.

The materials he used are very ordinary and lots of the materials are recycled. I think his works are not very carefully produced whitch make his works very convenient and looks comfortable. A lots of her works' materials are recycled like football, wood board , fabric and newspapers. Normally when those things gathered together it looks dirty and terrible, but his works are not, he used them in an different way, the order of the materials are very orderly presenred and made it looks nice ,and it became an art work. For my project development, I'll use some recycled materials like shoes, clothes, plastic bags, wood, fabric, electronic things and a lot ......for produce my work.

IBRAHIM MAHAMA

Details

Ibrahim Mahama was born in 1987, Tamale, Chana. He lives and works in Tamale, Chana.

The material of his work is jute. The sewn coal sacks are the result of his investigation of the conditions of supply and demand in african markets. When I first saw this work, It makes me feel oppressed. The sacks are very old and ragged and made me think about the poor and weak people in african. His work is all over the room and he can move it to other places or change the shape, position of the work. For me I never think about to use old wasted sacks to prodece an art work like Ibrihim Mahamas'. So for my project development, I can produce a work that I can change the shape or put it to another place. So I can use only one work to produce more works.

I like this vedio, and using pillow as the back ground makes the vedio more three dimentional. The name of this vedio is Dreams about Europe. Lublin edition. I think the reason why the artist using the pillow is because of the name, it said the DREAM of europe. For my project development, I'd like to use different things as the backgroud of the vedio painting, drawing or print making.

This work called A BOOK OF CHEQUES, and it was made of Aluminium and Acrylic. I'm interested in the shape of this work, it's a book of cheques, and the artist cut some letters on the sheets, the way the light coming through and make a shadow of letters on the wall makes the work more vivid. She enlarged the cheques and fold it in a simple way, but it looks nice and interesting, expecially the letters shadow on the wall. So for my project development, I'll use the technique of enlarging things and the use of light.

Rafael Gomezbarros was born in 1972, Santa Marta, colombia. He lives and works in Bogota, Colombia.

His idea is to show the millions of homeless people who represent the invisible but lots of immigranta around the planet. The ants are made from resin, fiberglass, madera, screen cotton, cuerda arenas and cerrejon coal.

I like the idea of using buildings as a piece of his art work. And the placement of the ants on the building. When I walked into the exhibition room where the ants located, I wasn't feel messy and I actryally think the ants are beautiful because of the placement of it.

His work isn't looks like a PIECE of work, it's not like a painting or a sculpture. It's exhibiting all over the room. The material of the ants are natrual object like wood. I think the reason why he chose wood rather than using manmade materials like plastic or metal is because ants is a natrual thing as wellas the wood. So for my project development, I'm going to use buildings or any stractures as a part of my art work.

This work's name is Book of Times From the series Yellow. The way she putting the wood frame hold me attention on her work. All the materials she used in this work are angeled, there's no arc in this work. It formed a lots of intereting shaps of angels. There is a sketchbook on the table infrount of the work, and I had a look at the sketchbook, I think it's a publi sketchbook, the artist aloud people to write or draw on it. And there are a lots of commons on it.She used simple colours for this art work, she only use yellow and a bit of white, the colour of brown is the naturalcolour of the wood. The colours works really well with in this work. In my project development, I'd like to use only one shape of the material and simple colours for two or three maximum to produce my work.

All his works are made of Iron, Bronze, Aluminium and Brass. His works are all black and white, and the colours on the sulpture are natural colour. I like the way he connect the small pieces togather to formed a face. I think the shadow of the sculpture is involved in his work. In my project development, I'd like to use the natural colours of the materials to produce a work.

Fredy Alzate was born in 11975,Rioregro, Antioquia, Colombia. He lives and works in Medellin, Cplombia.

He got the idea when he saw section of a wall that folded upon itself and it made an interesting shap. The materials are mortal and they symbolize endurance and security.

The reason why I found this structure is interesting is because normally, the wall is straight and standing on the ground but this one is like a ball. I think his using of technique of build this wall ball is very controled. So in my project development, I'll try to find out using different ways to transformed the shape of the object.
